"Stumpy" - Black Walnut Live Edge Cheese Slicer - Large Hardware

$125.00
Sold Out

Definitely one-of-a-kind. Out of 300 board feet of Walnut, this was the only piece of live-edge that had a perfect little branch nub almost dead center in the rough cut.

Kiln dried, beautiful live edge Black Walnut sourced from CCM Hardwood Lumber and Slabs out of Carrollton, IL (Support Local!). Sanded through 80, 120, 180, 220, and 320 grit while raising the grain between each sanding. Finished in Food Grade Mineral Oil and heat treated with Beeswax.

I made one of these slicers as a prototype for us to keep and honestly was amazed at how useful it is. We eat a lot of cheese here and now that we have this slicer, we really don’t use anything else to cut the cheese. The small one staged in the pictures is ours and is the “small” hardware with a 4” cut capacity. I wanted to show it next to this “large” hardware slicer (5” cut capacity) just to get an idea of the size without putting cheese on your brand new board.
